With a birthdate of October 1981, the Pride was originally to be released as an 18 year old in 1999, but Dr Bill Lumsden acquired a prized collection of Sauternes barriques from the famed Chateau d'Yquem and went about ageing this exceptional whisky in these barriques for a further 10 years.
