Eagle Rare 17YO (2013)
This 2013 expression was bottled from 25 hand selected barrels that saw a 54.7% loss to evaporation, totalling around 4,530 bottles released this year in total. An interesting fact is despite the label stating 17 years, this year’s release was actually aged for 19 years. Buffalo Trace doesn’t have to re-register a new label each year and instead uses the same label as long as the age increases and doesn’t decrease from the stated 17 Years.
If you’re a fan of quality bourbon whiskey, this is one release that’s rarely seen in Australia and would look amazing in any whiskey collection.
