Silent Midleton

The Midleton Very Rare Silent Distillery Collection is a collection of six releases. A Sheepy New Ardbeg

There was lots of speculation regarding the new release Ardbeg for 'Ardbeg Day'. The rumors have all been put to bed, with the announcement of the 'Ardbeg Blaaak'. Bottled at 46%, the Islay Whisky is made from Ex Pinot Noir casks from New Zealand. Balvenie Stories Part 2

So this year we had the 1st edition of the Balvenie Stories series, it included the 12yr old 'Sweet Toast of American Oak', the 14yr old 'Week of Peat' and the 26yr old 'Day of Dark Barley'. There are rumours floating around the Whisky world about a 2nd series aswell. Unfortuanatly set to release in around June 2020 (so ages away), this will aparently include a Non Age Statment (NAS) called 'The Creation of Classic', a 17yr old version of 'The Week of Peat' and finally a 21yr old called 'The Second Red Rose'. Sullivan's Cove 25th Anniversary

Part of the 25th anniversary, Sullivan's Cove will be releasing a limited edition 21yr old single malt. Distilled back in 1997, this is a 21yr Whisky matured in ex-bourbon barrels. It will be presented in a special Glencarin decanter that reflects the labelling from the 1990's. It is said that it will be the oldest Australian whisky ever released. The Whisky will be available for purchase later this month to the people signed up for the waiting list, and will be available from the distillery itself. Priced at a mouth watering $1800.

The Balvenie Stories....

The Balvenie has just unveiled a new lineup of 3 different whiskies. The 12yr Sweet toast of American oak, the 14yr old The week of Peat & the 26yr old The day of Dark Barley. Each one comes with a unique story. The Balvenie have released audio versions of these stories onto Spotify (available now). The Whiskies will be avaiable globally late May.
